Meet

Mary

I am so glad that you are here. I am Mary Lovely. My friends call me "MaryLovely" (all one word.) My husband calls me Sparkle. I was blessed with the name “Lovely” and thank the immigration officers at Ellis Island for that.

I am a fashion forward interior designer, impassioned creator, writer, artist, and zealous cook. I am a true believer in mixing the modern with antiquity and edge. I am fashionably unpredictable.

I founded a design company which I owned for twenty years. Louisburg Gardens enhanced environments with lush and beautiful tropical and seasonal plants and flowers in commercial and residential properties including malls, atriums hotels and high-rise office buildings.

After I sold my company I started table24: A small scale catering, personal chef-ing and table designing-ing venture. I still enjoy fashioning  a dinner or party here and there.

I love to share creativity. I surround myself with beauty and goodness, and I want to do the same for you. Pull up a chair, dig in and join in. Hire me, follow me, write to me.

Fill yourself up with that which brings you joy. Be happy. Start LIVINGLOVELIER.

“Sparkle” On, Friends

My Design Philosophy

A beautifully designed home is not a luxury reserved for the wealthy.

Great style is attainable by anyone. But sometimes you need a little help. And it does not have to cost a fortune, either: LivingLovelier can work within any budget. I have designed interiors for million dollar homes, staged modest suburban capes, and spent an afternoon de-cluttering a studio apartment.

Details matter, and I promise they don’t have to cost a lot. I love a bargain and can be found trolling a clearance rack or hunting in a thrift store. Home Goods is my go-to. I love Restoration Hardware but usually shop at the outlet when they are having the 50% off sale.  A high end piece nestled alongside something I found at a yard sale fills me with joy.

“My job is to bring out the best in your home and help you fall in love with what you already have. Maybe your home just needs a lift. There is too much clutter.  The furniture is not optimally placed. Where are the personal touches?  I’ve had clients who didn’t realize what treasures they already possessed.  They just needed fresh eyes and a new perspective to breathe new life into their home.”

Leave me to it!
